This town is considered to be a real tourist spot because of many facts. The town got much popularity because of the fact that it is the birthplace of one of the most admired writers of all time; William Shakespeare.

Halls Croft:

Named after Dr. John Hall, the Halls Croft is a really attractive 16th Century house that includes exciting paintings and furniture. Dr. John Hall was married to Susanna; the daughter of William Shakespeare. The Hall will take you to the time of William Shakespeare. The Hall is open for all the days of the year except from 23-26 of December.

Anne Hathaway Cottage:

This cottage is one of the most famous cottages in the world. It is the childhood home of the wife of Shakespeare. It was owned by the descendants of the Anne Hathaway until the 19th Century. An interesting fact about the cottage is that it still houses the original Anne Hathaway Bed. If you go outside the cottage, you will find a beautiful garden with trees and a beautiful sculpture. Similar to the Halls Croft, the cottage is only closed during 23-26 December. 

River Avon:

If you come at Stratford-upon-Avon then you must visit the river Avon, because of which the town got its name. You can go for a boat trip to get closer to this wonderful river or you can walk beside it. You walk beside this river or you take a boat trip, you will certainly see many worth seeing sights in both cases. You may also find many live entertainers from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre near the river.

Shakespeare's Birthplace:

Shakespeare's Birthplace is probably the most visited place of the town of Stratford-upon-Avon. He was born in 1564 in the half-timbered house and the house was owned by the family until the 19th century.
