Splendid
Eighteenth-Century Villa San Gennariello, Bed & Breakfast, Portici
- Ercolano
It
is a splendid eighteenth-century villa set in leafy grounds with palms,
rare plants and trees over a hundred years old. This remarkable place,
which was once part of the old Bourbon pheasant-shooting retreat connected
to the Royal Palace in Portici, is still as beautiful and impressive today
as it was when Portici was the favourite destination of eighteenth-century
noblemen. Today the town is attractive in itself and also a good starting-point
for those wishing to explore the area and visit sites of archaeological
interest and great natural beauty. It is close to the ruins of Herculaneum
and Pompeii and to Sorrento and Naples, while the coast, dominated by the
brooding Vesuvius, looks across to the enchanting islands of Capri, Ischia
and Procida. |

Hotel
Claudia Augusta, Casale sur Sile, Treviso
The Hotel is located inside
the River Sile Nature Park just a few kilometres from Treviso and Venice.
The name of the Hotel is taken from its very siting, in the immediate vicinity
of the Claudian Augustean way which was named after Roman Emperor Claudius

Rablà and Cesiomaggiore), Claudius had this important arterial road

at the time of his military offensives against Norico (present-day Austria)
in 16-13 BC. The hotel has 32 rooms, all very spacious, which have
been designed with both couples and families with children in mind. The
park, the ample parking facilities, and the fact you can reach Venice and
Treviso so easily will all contribute to making your stay in Veneto extremely
