You will love the fact that
hotels here are quite affordable and everything here is priced very
reasonably. Nantes won't burn a hole in your pocket. Food and drink is
reasonably priced as are tourist attractions.
Once
you arrive you will find that there are a plethora of things to do in
Nantes. If you are a sci-fi buff, you should know that Nantes is the
place where the famous science fiction author Jules Verne was born.
There is now a museum dedicated to him in the city, called the le Musée
Jules Verne. Children will particularly love the exhibits here.
There
is also the Chateau des Ducs de Bretagne which is the Castle of the
Dukes of Brittany and it houses the popular History Museum of Nantes.
It has a contemporary layout with a lot of multimedia installations and
over eight hundred and fifty historical objects that are connected to
Nantes.
Brittany
is a splendid picturesque area with so many places to explore and
enjoy. Hiring a car at Nantes Airport or any of the other airports in
Brittany is something which may be worth your while. Consider how much
moving about you intend on doing. Will you be visiting just one part of
Brittany or do you plan on seeing as much as possible. Spontaneity is
great on a holiday but sometimes a bit of planning can go a long way.
